Stockholm in the leading role. Ever since the first moving picture was made in 1896, Stockholm has played the leading role in Swedish film history, but what is a Stockholm film?
"We are very proud to have produced the largest film exhibition in
Stockholm for the last ten years.
We already knew that Stockholm is a great photo object, and if you were not in love with Stockholm before, you will be in
love now" says Hans Öjemyr, head of the exhibition.

In Starring: Stockholm you will find a number of small screening rooms with
different themes. High and low, new and old, feature films and
documentaries, portraits, posters, costumes and props. Everything gathered
from the wonderful world of Stockholm in film.

The exhibition is produced by Stockholms Stadsmuseum in collaboration with Filmpool Stockholm Mälardalen, The Swedish Film Institute, Fladen Film, Stockholm Film Commission, The Department of audiovisual media in the Royal Library, Samfundet S:t Erik and Kodak.
